If I ask you whether you can do something that no one has ever try, will you say yes or no? For example, can you run faster than Usain Bolt? 99 out of 100 people will say no without trying, there will be a voice in the brain saying "No one breaks the record before, how can I break it.." That is the boundary set by Usain Bolt, and most of us will be limit by the boundary. But come to think of it, there are athletes who set the records before Usain Bolt, how does he able to break the record? He is the 1 person that tries to break the record, after he breaks the record, there will be other people saying that "if he can do that, I can do it also". Hence, more and more people breaking the record.
Our mindset has a "safety plug" that tell us don't try something that no one has ever done before. Because trying that will lead us to a very tough path as no one else will be able to guide us on how to do it, we will be the one that has to figure out all the things and go through all the pain to achieve it. We have to reinvent our brain to remove the boundary and go for what we really want to achieve. The path might be tough and painful but what we learn and gain through the journey will lead us closer to what we want to achieve. The process has the most value than the result because we learn through process, not the result. Example, 1 + 1 + 1 = 3, most people focus on the 3 but forget that without 1 + 1 + 1, we won't get 3.
The world is changing at a fast pace, many things that we think is not possible years back is now possible. So, why do we still saying impossible before trying? I forget where I saw someone saying he pronounce "impossible" as "I'm possible", when you think you can do it, you will have the fire to get it done. Whenever you achieve something you think is impossible, you are removing a lock from your brain. You will have a different mindset when you face another so-call impossible task again, the experience of success in doing something impossible makes the difference. You will dare to go for the new challenge. The first step always the hardest, once you step out, it will be a whole new world.
