It happens that we will lose sight of ourselves even successful and self-aware people can go through time where something seems off. Getting lost is a great opportunity for us to rediscover who we are and who we really want to be. We often get lost when we have too many advices and suggestions from the surrounding, doubting our own path whether it's the wrong way to live. When we joining a new environment or having new friends, certain person mindset especially those who have a strong charismatic personality will influence other people . But sometimes, we follow it just because we don't want to be left behind, it's not the path that we want to follow. Hence, rediscover who we are can help us to identify whether that is really what we want.
1. Revise your path
If you already walking your own path but just lost in the middle, try to remember why you walk this path. Are you still on the path or you already off the path? Adjustment is needed when you walk your path, you have to justify whether you really off from your path or just adding some adjustment. Reevaluate your path if you're off from it.
2. Discover your value
Write down your values, it will help you to justify your path. Check with your surrounding, what do they think about you? What do they feel about you? What do they think you are good at? You might have missed out some of the values that other people want, getting more information will help in justify your path.
3. Have some "me" time
Most people spend little time alone. Take some time off from people and social media, spend some time alone. It's crucial to discover what you like, what you want. Figure out what you enjoy when you are alone, you can go watch movie alone, explore the city alone, .etc. When you spend time with other people, you have little time to explore your inner self. When you are alone, you will discover a different view or feel when doing something alone. You might start to fall in love with the new value you found through exploration.
4. Spend time in nature
If you spend most of your life in city, try spend some time in nature. Technology brings convenience to our life but at the same time, it took away some of our senses. Nature allows us to slow down our pace, clear our mind from unnecessary information. Enjoy the time with nature but don't cause damage to nature.
